| I don't want to
mislead you; this book thoroughly analyzes the scriptural references
for each rapture theory and then makes the case for a
post-tribulation rapture, while proving that we are in the end
times, right now.
Devout Christians who believe in the post-tribulation rapture have been ridiculed by what I hope are well-meaning evangelical Christians, who do not believe the post-tribulation idea is remotely possible. They say that the post-tribulation believers are radicals and survivalists who hoard food and guns out in the mountains and wilderness. To them the whole idea of going through the Great Tribulation challenges their view of God: If God is punishing a wicked world, how could he include evangelical Christians in this mix? The idea of being Left Behind (referring to Tim Lehaye's book about the rapture) or going through the Tribulation has become synonymous with religious and spiritual failure. Events in the world look more and more like what we expect for the end times. The next big event we should be looking for is a major war in Israel. During this war, two-thirds of Israel's population will be destroyed. That will signal the beginning of the seven years of Great Tribulation. The seven year period is divided into two parts: (1) Rebuilding the Temple; (2) The Two Witnesses. After the war, the Great Temple
of Solomon will be rebuilt over a three and a half year period. Then
the two witnesses sent from God will enter the Temple, and from
there for another three and a half years, will preach repentance to
the whole world. As the world continues in rebellion, great plagues
and catastrophes will fall on the earth at the bidding of the two
witnesses. At the end of this period, the two witnesses will be
killed and left to lay in the street. Three days later, as the whole
world watches, probably via live television feeds, the two witnesses will be
resurrected. The Second Coming is then just days or hours away. |
